Orthopedic Focus; Kasey prefers to treat specific problems and does not offer relaxation work unless it’s specifically indicated (CNS Sensitization, Fibromyalgia, Etc). Wear comfortable clothing you can move in for appointments with her.
As a youth Kasey was very athletic, competing in dance for over 10 years, playing baseball, tennis and basketball, and enjoying downhill skiing. A series of sport injuries, including a dislocated knee, torn rotator cuff, badly bruised tail bone and whiplash, lead her to alternative health care. As a patient recovering from significant injuries, she has gained personal experience with both acute and chronic pain, the rehabilitative process including the set backs and re-in jury, as well as the success of full recovery.
As a health care professional Kasey is dedicated to providing the best possible care for you. She uses specific orthopedic testing, neurokinetic therapy and postural assessment to pin point the cause of your pain. Personalized treatment plan development will help you break through barriers and achieve your treatment goals.
Kasey focuses on therapeutic and sport massage in her practice, while incorporating therapeutic exercise and patient education. Myofascial release, muscle energy technique, trigger point release and swedish massage are just some of the techniques that may be used in your treatment. Aromatherapy, breathing techniques and relaxing music can be incorporated into any of these treatments.
Adding to her skill set, Kasey has completed the Stott Rehab Pilates Program. A comprehensive home care routine of both stretching and strengthening exercises can give you the tools and resources you need to stay healthy and symptom free, long after you recovery from your injuries.
SCHEDULE NOTE: Kasey is currently waiting for surgery on her shoulder to repair a stubborn calcific tendonitis. At this time she is unsure when she will be returning to her practice. To be notified, subscribe to our newsletter.
